HFRD prints a scope-and-severity letter beside each citation, on the grid the federal nursing home survey uses: A to C is a deficiency with no actual harm and the potential for minimal harm, D to F no actual harm with the potential for more than minimal harm, G to I actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy, and J to L immediate jeopardy; within each band the letter rises from isolated to pattern to widespread. 111-8-63-.02 The purpose of these rules and regulations is to establish the minimum standards for the operation of personal care homes to be licensed as assisted living communities. Such communities provide assisted living care to adults who require varying degrees of assistance with the activities of daily living but who do not require continuous medical or nursing care. Authority O.C.G.A. §§ 31-2-7 and 31-7-1 et seq.
